Dear Reader,
Tadabbur was created with a simple idea: that reflection becomes more meaningful when we create inclusive spaces to pause, understand, and share insights with others on the same journey. Initially founded as an Islamic bookclub, it has flowered into a community discourse about faith, womanhood, and Islamic education- all female-led and oriented.
Our programming, selected books, and speakers initiate conversations that challenge, offer new perspectives, and bring us back to the fundamental questions of faith and purpose. Through creating these dynamic learning experiences, we hope to make room for reflection that goes beyond the pages of a text but moves hearts and communities.
Tadabbur is a space for our sisters to seek knowledge with intention, ponder deeply, and share in self-discovery. Together we work to materialize a vision – one in which women’s voices are not the exception, but continue shaping their own legacy.

Tafakkur – Contemplation
To deeply contemplate Allah’s creation, His signs, and the realities of life, allowing thoughtful reflection to lead to greater understanding, awareness, and closeness to Him.
How we approach it
Our reflections are rooted in tafakkur – contemplating Allah’s signs in the world and within ourselves. Through reflection and meaningful dialogue on social media, we deepen our awareness of Allah and strengthen faith through understanding.

To deeply reflect upon the Qur’an and the signs of Allah, seeking to understand their meaning, consider their implications, and allow that reflection to shape our hearts, thoughts, and actions.

Tadhakkur – Remembrance
To remember and reflect on the signs of Allah, His guidance, and the purpose of human existence, cultivating spiritual growth, mindfulness, and gratitude.
How we approach it
Our events are anchored in tadhakkur – remembering Allah and finding gratitude through connection. By gathering sisters through social community events in spaces of worship, learning and reflection, we strengthen faith and renew our hearts in remembrance of Allah.
